Chick-Fil-A Donates $2 Mil to Antigay Groups
An evaluation of philanthropic donations by Chick-Fil-A shows the fast-food chain offered nearly $2 million to antigay groups in 2010.
A previous examination showed the firm giving away the same amount to antigay reasons in 2009, in spite of consistent statements from spokespeople refuting that Chick-Fil-A supports an antigay schedule.
WinShape, Chick-Fil-A's official charitable arm, has donated $1.9 million to Exodus International, the National Christian Foundation, the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, the Household Research Council, the Marriage and Family Structure, and the Georgia Family Members Council, Equality Matters reported Monday.
The largest donation, $1.1 million, mosted likely to the Marriage as well as Family Structure, an anti-gay marital relationship organization that elevates money for the Marital relationship CoMission. The latter team was developed in response to the \"descending spiral of marital relationship and the standard household in America.\"
