Man gets life sentence in gay-bar proprietor's death (14671 )
A 21-year-old New York guy was punished on Tuesday to 25 years to life in prison for eliminating a Binghamton bar owner. Richard Lawrence begged guilty to second-degree murder in the Aprilstrangulation fatality of 45-year-old Douglas Guiles at the gay bar he possessed, Prism. District attorneys said Lawrence planned to burglarize Guiles after the bar shut which there was no evidence of a hate criminal activity.
