The Enola Gay (B-29-45-MO, AAF Serial Number 44-86292, Victor number 82) was built by the Glenn L. Enola Gay was personally selected by Colonel Pl W. Durg July of that year, after the bomber flew eight trag missns and two bat missns to drop pumpk bombs on dtrial targets at Kobe and Nagoya, Enola Gay was ed on 31 July on a rehearsal flight for the actual missn.
