The transgrsivens of <a href=" target="_blank"><em>Pk Flamgos</em></a> and <em>Female Trouble</em> wasn’t jt pure shock value. To eat sh and embrace filth was, for Waters, a way to reclaim the send-class stat heteronormative culture so often mands we occupy. </p><p>In turn, queer people are often drawn to the athetics of “trash” art bee we ourselv are perceived and treated as ak to garbage: somethg unsightly that needs to be alt wh and removed. If Dive were still alive, ’s easy to image her showg up <em>Jackass</em> to eat a w patty or a yellow snow-ne.</p><p>Like a good Waters film, <em>Jackass</em> at s heart simultaneoly celebrat and nigrat the human body, puttg the physil form on naked display when society so often mands we ver up. It’s hard to be too judgmental of other people when you’re showg off your bis and broken bon.
