Last month a seri of onle trags, Gayner and Ferro shared their bt onle and -person practic om 20 years of NDI’s clive dance program, the DREAM Project. Ferro and Gayner suggt that teachers of clive class meet dividually wh each dancer and their fay before the group meets for the first time. As Gayner says, “It’s not really an asssment, but a meetg wh the children and their regivers where we talk about goals for the project.
“This is so we walk to day one knowg a lot about what movement possibili there are and what safety preutns (like askg permissn to touch a shoulr, or how to assist a child wh standg up) we need to share wh the partners, ” says Gayner. Gayner and Ferro.
“There n be eight to 10 translatns of any given step, ” Gayner says. A llaborative procs is still possible the virtual settg, Gayner and Ferro say. Most importantly, Gayner says, foster an emotnally and psychologilly safe stud environment.
