The Gay Lords of Ltle Village were Polish and Bohemian while the Gay Lords of Wt Town were mostly Italian wh some Mexins so that is a difference.

Greasers world-wi the 50s were big to bik and fixg them was a big hobby of theirs too so the Gay Lords f the classic 50s greaser style. In the mid-1950s there were for sure youths high school that joed the Gay Lords Ltle Village and soon they domated Harrison High School and the Junr ROTC program.

Another part of the foundg history is that of the Gay Lords SAC that was found 1954 the Near Wt Si neighborhood at the tersectn of Ashland Avenue and Taylor Street. The Wt Town and Ltle Village Gay Lords were big to bik and the Wt Town and Ltle Village Gay Lords would eventually slug out wh Lat Kgs later years. By the later 50s Gay Lords graduated to Harley Davidson Motorcycl and this ma the girls flock to them; not only that, but the Gay Lords were also nng Harrison High School and the Outlaws were not happy wh any of g more nflict.

Gay Lords were fightg wh Vice Lords, Egyptian Cobras and Roman Sats bee they were attendg Harrison High School as they muted om the Near Wt Si neighborhood om the Maxwell Street Market area. Gog back to Wt Town 1956, Anthony Anara was now 16 years old and anized the group of now 37 guys to somethg siar to a club, but took until 1958 for them to officially name themselv “Gay Lords, ” Bobby Shipball me up wh the name. As soon as the Gay Lords anizatn began 1958 there were now 90 members makg them one of the bigger outfs the area and the legends began at the tersectn of Huron and Noble which is the motherland of the AGLN Gaylords.

When the Gay Lords were first st out, they hung out at a place they lled “Guys” which was a ndy store owned by a woman at Huron and Throop. The park staff was always upset wh the Gay Lords bee they ma a lot of noise, were often disrpectful and ed some stctn, typil of a greaser club.
