Matt said he knows the character has been ed as a tool to bully young gay people, but sists that was not the show’s tentn.

‘I have had people who had ‘you are the only gay the village’ said to them and to was meant to be a celebratn, ’ he told Richard Herrg’s RHLSTP podst. ‘But people were labelled ‘the only gay the village’ at school. It was meant as entertament, not to make young gay people sad.

Although Daffyd's fay are perfectly fe and acceptg of their sons homosexualy, even they are not immune om Daffyd's lns or his biased and hypocril opns.

He was therefore taken aback when his parents not only said they weren't fsed by , but admted that they had spected he was homosexual for some time. He left the room shocked horror however, when his mother and father dited that the rt of the fay wouldn't be bothered eher, given that most (if not all of them) were gay as well. Later on, when his brother Dewi admted that he was gay as well, Daffyd, far om beg unrstandg or acceptg was shocked and disgted.

He orred Dew not to be gay and even tried to nvce him to be bisexual and when Dewi (wh the backg of Myfanwy and Pedro) refed, Daffyd rejected him. Daffyd however, claimed that whilst he would really like to do all of the thgs, he would not be able to do so, due to his homosexualy. Actg as if they lived an age when homosexuals were not tolerated, Daffyd sisted that the moment his boss/landlords found out he was gay, they would fire/evict him.
