Y, there is lored clay to be seen, but that’s not really too excg What is tertg about beg there are several other thgs: Learng about mora and the 75M year-ago ice sheets of which the cliffs are evince;Learng about the Aqunah Wampanoag Indians on whose land you are standg;Seeg on clear days the strg of Elizabeth Islands and parts of the maland; Visg the Gay Head Lighthoe and s spectacular lens;Fillg your lungs wh full breaths of credibly h air.
Aqunah is the center of the Wampanoag Tribe of Gay Head Aqunah. The Wampanoag Tribe of Gay Head Aqunah beme a ferally acknowledged tribe on April 10, 1987 through the Bure of Indian Affairs. The town was lled Gay Head until 1997 when the Tribe won the right to change the name of the town back to the origal Wampanoag name.
