This race is a USATF certified 10K road race to prerve the historic and inic Gay Head Lighthoe. What is the Gay Head 10K? 2 ) race is held each year to support the rtoratn of the recently reloted Gay Head Lighthoe Aqunah, MA.
Begng at the Gay Head Cliffs, the urse heads down State Road past the Aqunah Town Hall, the Aqunah Public Library and Wampanoag Tribal lands, up Moshup Trail along the beach and crashg surf, and back to the lighthoe. Runners may check bags at the race tent loted the Gay Head circle, near the lighthoe. Jo unr the beam of the beloved Gay Head Lighthoe to Run for the Light, on Sunday, October 1st.

Agast a dramatic natural backdrop that clud the Atlantic Ocean and the multi-hued Gay Head cliffs set agast a clear blue sky, 146 nners took of om the startg le at 10 am the send annual Gay Head 10K race Sunday. The race was a fundraiser support of the effort to move the Gay Head Lighthoe away om the erodg cliffs. The Gay Head 10K began 2013 as part of the Town of Aqunah's efforts to save our beloved Gay Head Lighthoe om fallg to the sea.

Numbers will be available for pick-up on Saturday, October 1 om 3 to 6 pm at the Aqunah Town Hall, 65 State Road, Aqunah, and on the morng of the race at the Gay Head Cliffs om 8:30 am to 10:00 am.
