Sixty years ago, on 27 May 1962, a group of sixteen men met at a hoe on The Terrace central Wellgton to discs formg what would bee New Zealand’s first documented homosexual anisatn – the Dorian Society.
At the time, homosexual activy was still an imprisonable offence and homosexualy self was fed by psychiatrists as a personaly disorr.
